4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Symptoms relating to use: Skin contact with hot/molten material may cause skin irritation, redness and in extreme cases, blistering.
First aid
– Inhalation: Assure fresh air breathing. Remove victim to fresh air. Allow the victim to rest.
– Skin contact: Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area withmild soap and water, followed by warm water rinse. Seek medical attention if burns develop.
– Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Obtain medical attention if pain blinking or redness persist.
– Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Obtain emergency medical attention.
General information: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).
Note to physician: Treat symptomatically.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Flammable class: Not classified as flammable but will burn. Under fire conditions, hazardous fumes will be present.
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray. Foam. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide. Sand. Do not use a heavy water stream.
Surrounding fires: Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers.
Protection against fire: Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection.
Special procedures: Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Avoid (reject) fire-fighting water to enter environment.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURE
Personal precautions: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Equip cleanup crew with proper protection. Evacuate unnecessary personnel.
Environmental precautions: Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Notify authorities if product enters sewers or public waters.
Clean up methods: Ventilate area. On land, sweep or shovel into suitable containers.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Personal protection: Wear recommended personal protective equipment.
Technical protective measures: Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.
Storage: – away from: Keep only in the original container in a cool, well ventilated place. Keep container closed when not in use. // Heat sources. Sources of ignition. Direct sunlight.
Handling: When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eat, drink or smoke and when leaving work.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
Personal protection: Avoid all unnecessary exposition.
– Respiratory protection: No special respiratory protection equipment is recommended under normal conditions of use with adequate ventilation. Where exposure through inhalation may occur from use, respiratory protection equipment is recommended.
– Hand protection: Suitable protective clothing and gloves.
– Eye protection: Chemical goggles or safety glasses.
– Others: When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.
Technical protective measures: Provide local exhaust or general room ventilation to minimize exposure to dust.
